[Join us!] Fight Haze @ Exhibition, Educational Booth, Nature Walk, Social Media, and Talk

The sickening haze has been returning almost every year to haunt us, but for the first time ever, the people of Singapore will be fighting back!

If you’re keen to learn more about the haze and help to stop it, join our activities! Briefing and guidance will be provided, so no prior experience is required.

Just as it takes every single brick piece to fit together to form a beautiful village of homes, it will take joint effort + time + motivated spirit to piece together solutions to erase the Haze issue from our future to come.

Event-Based Outreach Teams

Do join us as ad-hoc volunteer to the following events and explore further interest in organising these events. Briefing and guidance will be provided, so no prior experience is required. The commitment for ad-hoc volunteers is usually a few hours for the actual activity plus possible training session(s). The aim of these events are to collect 50,000 pledges for our “We Breathe What We Buy Campaign” as early as possible, in order to showcase strong demand for sustainable palm oil and paper products that are not linked to the haze.

Haze Exhibition @ City Square Mall (25 – 26 July, Sat – Sun): Volunteer at haze exhibition

Singapore’s first and only public exhibition on the haze attracted about 10,000 visitors of which 800 went for a guided tour when it was first held in Nov 2014. The exhibition will soon be travelling to City Square Mall.

As a tour guide, you will be helping visitors to explore this amazing exhibition. Our past volunteers have enjoyed the experience and shared how much they learnt from interacting with different members of the public. There are 4 shifts available. Sign up for your preferred tour guide shift!

Haze Educational Booth @ ORTO Leisure Park (1 – 2 Aug, Sat – Sun): IMG-20150405-WA0018

Together with our friends from Ground-Up Initiative, we will set up a mini-educational booth during the Mega Balik Kampung Carnival. Do enjoy the interaction with public in the carnival. The estimated turn out is about 15,000 people. The Minister for Foreign Affairs and the Minister for Law, Mr Shanmugam will be the guest of honour on 1st Aug.

To make a 5G society – Gracious, Green, Giving, Grounded, and Grateful, we will pledge to fight the haze together. Sign up today as a volunteer!

Air Your Views @ Admiralty Park (1 Aug, Sat, 3pm-7.30pm): 20150627_111158

Through this unusual nature walk, participants will not only experience the interesting creatures and habitats at Admiralty Park, but get to learn about how they are linked to the haze. After that, participants have a chance to share their views about the haze and how we can stop it!

Registration for participants will open soon, but you can secure a place first as a volunteer. Spaces are limited so sign up soon!
