PM.Haze is a registered society in Singapore and is governed by our members. Members elect the Governing Board at the Annual General Meeting to oversee the organisation and also have equal say in proposing and voting for changes in the way PM.Haze is run. PM.Haze may derive funding from membership fees, donations, grants, activities income and other lawful sources, provided that the taking of such funds does not conflict with the objective/s of PM.Haze.
From individual donations: Acceptable
From foundations, government and other NGOs: Due diligence to be done and approval by the Governing Board on a case-by-case basis based on whether the donor/ grant-giver/ sponsor is socially and environmentally responsible, and whether acceptance of the donation/ grant/ sponsorship will affect the objectivity and independence of PM.Haze’s public statements.
From corporations whose business is NOT involved in palm oil or paper supply chain: Due diligence to be done and approval by the Governing Board on a case-by-case basis as per above, AND only sponsorship in kind allowed e.g. providing pro-bono services
From corporations whose business is involved in palm oil or paper supply chain: No donation/ grant/ sponsorship will be accepted.
The above criterion does not apply for income or non-monetary support that does not constitute an endorsement (either direct or implied) of the organisation/ corporation e.g. research trip from corporations or income from workshops. Acceptance of such income or non-monetary source must not have any affect on PM.Haze’s objectivity and independence PM.Haze’s public statements.
